The one handed opening hole on spyderco knives was a pretty good idea, can’t think of anything major that could have been done years ago.

I reprofiled the edge on mine to a thinner convex angle too ,wish the spine wasn't so thick though.

Don't forget that the f1 has a small secondary bevel on top of the convex grind.

Sounds like the steel is on the softer side thats all ,although my gransfors bent and chipped a little when I hit a stone.When you say the edge went flat do you mean dull.

In the pic theres a unsharpened part between the handle and where the bevel starts have you found this to be a problem when using the knife? I just thought it might get in the way.
