Wanted - Someone to re-shaft two hammers in return for...

Hi all, looking for someone to re-shaft me two ball pein hammers (16oz and 20oz) with ash in return for something that I may have or be able to offer. Now this may sound vague but I really have no idea what value someone would put on a task like this so if anyone fancies taking on the job then...

My take on a gas bottle burner

Other events took over (full engine rebuild on a bandit 400) and I'm off to India working for 6 weeks but when I get back I'll be on it! Only got an air inlet at the front and its ready for paint. Will be done before the winter comes :D I'll keep you all updated and may post some other projects...

My take on a gas bottle burner

BJJJ: Cheers :) Over the moon with it so far, I'm not particularly creative but this seems to be flowing well! Wingstoo: Thanks, get yours re-started! 21st Century pict: Cheers! Pulse jet you say... Welchyd1: Cheers, they look a lot better than the initial bits of tube and made me take...

My take on a gas bottle burner

This is copied and pasted directly from another site I frequent, thought it would be on interest here too :) At some point I'll get a post started on my garage and how its progressing from a full of rubbish, leaking, pre-fab monstrosity to something a little more usable with the long term aim...

    Introducing a youngster to hunting?

True story, something I still struggle with personally! Any news on this?

    Introducing a youngster to hunting?

The hardest part for him will be not getting hot under the collar when a chance arises and taking a less than perfectly placed or rushed shot, I think that is a good reason to take the suggestion on board on showing how to dispatch a wounded animal. With rabbits I find a foot on the head and...

    my first fielddressing...

Good effort! The first always takes the longest, you learn more from that than watching hours of videos on how to do it (although this is the best place to start!) and you'll find the next far easier. It's always nice seeing quarry used as intended rather than "left for the foxes" too :)

Monitor 17b burner tube-(A long shot but you never know!)

Steve, the monitor I have is a different model to what google shows yours as. Fortunately I do have a complete silent burner in the spares tin if that is any good to you? The stove with the folding legs is a SVEA now I think about it but I'm sure it has the same style burner as the stove you...

Monitor 17b burner tube-(A long shot but you never know!)

I've got a monitor stove kicking about somewhere and also a stove with folding legs but I'm not sure if they are the same stove! Let me have a look tomorrow and get back to you with pictures :)

Svord peasant and 3" blade full tang blank

Hi all, looking for the above as I feel that for me, 4" is a little overkill for what I need. Let me know what you've got folks :) Edit: I have a milbro style catapult frame that is be willing to trade if anyone prefers to trade, also got other bits and bats kicking about.

So what are you giving up for lent?

I'd not considered this at all to be honest but I think it may be a good excuse to put a start date to the next thing I would like to give up, soft drinks! I gave up smoking on the 2nd of Jan, nothing to do with new years, I started a course of tablets two weeks before and that was the date I...

    After an over n under

I bought a Lanber Field M/C last year as my first shotgun and I love it, it fits me perfectly and I'm sure its helped me come on fairly quickly. I paid £420 from a shop in pretty much mint condition with 7 chokes and 50 cartridges, private sale you'll be looking closer to £300-350 but I wanted...

Good quality tent recommendations wanted for explorer scouts

Thank you all for taking the time in writing your replies, they have all been considered and the Spectre 300 seems to have come out on top from experience on here, reviews on the internet, our budget and the fact that we've had good experiences with Vango previously. Andy - I love F10's...

Good quality tent recommendations wanted for explorer scouts

Lithril - Thankyou for taking the time to post the links, the Alpha looks a little flimsy in all honesty although very good value for money it seems. The Spectre has definitely made the short list as it looks to have a good strong shape to it and comes in light enough to put into one persons...

Good quality tent recommendations wanted for explorer scouts

Hi all, thanks for the replies! Short but sweet because I'm on my phone (sorting the heaters at the scout hut funnily enough!) I've been looking at the vango hurricanes as they look nice and sturdy but I don't think we'll be able to stretch to that if we're getting four tents, budget probably...

Good quality tent recommendations wanted for explorer scouts

Hi all, we've got to a point where we have a few pennies kicking about in the bank account and would like to kit our explorers out with new tents as they are bringing their own at the minute and we had a disaster a few weekends ago where the wind flattened two of their tents and damaged them...

    riflescope wanted!!!!

Cheers Steve, its been sat on top of my Super 10 for 3 years (since I bought it!) and its been a brilliant bit of kit but as said, I got to the point where I need mildots as I shoot .22 and I need to compensate reliably for shots out to 40 yards.

    riflescope wanted!!!!

I've got a nice optima moonlighter that would fit nicely on a period setup, lovely clear optics but had to be replaced with a scope with mildots :( 3-9x45 with mounts if your interested.
