Yep. If you had clicked on the link, they would have stated you owed a fine for whatever made up crime in searching the targeted website and you $$$ with your credit/debit card directly rather than be arrested.

It didn't, it was a link to the actual FBI website, I checked it out, the link was to the real deal site which was why it was so odd.

I'v had the other virus and it was certainly not that, it locks up your computer totally and you have to boot computer in safe mode and use restore points to regain control of your computer.
there will have been something untoward somewhere, but it wasn't that particular virus.
