Flecktarn Basha - anyone used one?

I got it from www.flecktarn.co.uk in 2005. I don't think they do it anymore. Its certainly not lightweight at 2kg. Long stride

Flecktarn Basha - anyone used one?

I use a 3m x 2m flecktarn tarp. It is not as inconspicuous as you may think in woodland. Better in the shade I think flecktarn was designed for dark and shady pine forests. Long Stride

    In Flanders Fields...

I had the privilege to go there with my school when I was 16. Very emotional places, especially The Menin Gate. The Comonwealth War Graves Commission has a very interesting site. www.cwgc.org/debt_of_honour.asp Type in your surname and see how many names come up. Long Stride

Oystercatcher watch (doesn't trip off the tongue!)

Usually have an Oyster Catcher nest at my work as well. I hasn't appeared yet this year. :( This was taken last May She had 3 chicks that hatched but only 1 was seen with her later. The chicks are even harder to see than the eggs when they are still. Long Stride

Hoard of Iron Age gold coins found in East Anglia

In Scotland it belongs to the State. www.treasuretrovescotland.co.uk/ If they do not want it they will return it to the finder. If they do want to keep it I think you get a finders fee. I think in England + Wales it is a bit more complicated. Long Stride

Hi Primitiveliver, I have a Highlander Forces 44. It does not have the adjustable back system like its bigger brothers. Some pics I am 5' 10'' but slim build and it fits comfortably. The pack rides high on me so the waist strap sits above my waist but I still...
