Sort of agree...but a tad slow the first quarter/third of the film IMHO but still well worth watching. Jennifer Lawrence will be acting for a long time to come I think, a talented young lady, did you watch Winter's Bone?

I have only seen Jennifer Lawrence in Winter's Bone, an excellent film, I may get around to the Hunger games at some point.

The wolf of wall street - Truly great film. Instantly makes my top ten and for me is on par with Goodfellas/taxi driver as Scorsese's finest work. I was suprised by just how funny it was - theres some really laugh out loud moments here. Leo De caprio does an amazing job here as does Jonah Hill. If you like a good film and have 3 hours spare, just go see it.

Just watching The Book of Eli again...

I've never seen it, but there's an ongoing debate/running joke in the office about whether the hero is blind or not.

The first time it was resolved by Wikipedia, but then one of the guys said "I know wikipedia says that, I just edited it".

Saw "The Railwayman" last night.

Even though I knew how the closing scene was set I nearly drew blood biting my lip trying not to blub.

On a more lighthearted note I plan to watch "Jabberwocky" on DVD quite soon.

If you feel you can, try and give us a list of your top three films or just a list of your favourite films.

English speaking...

The Godfather.
Get Carter. The original.
Blade Runner.

Foreign language...

Le Pacte des loups. (Brotherhood of the wolf)
Seven Samurai.
Old Boy.

I've many more favourites, but I tend to reach for these the most.

Watched last night-
Nightmare on Elm Street 2......a rubbish classic from my youth!

We have The following to watch soon

Machete Kills - LOVE the first one
Lone Survivor
Mama
The last half of the Harry Potter movies
The rest of the Nightmare series

Lots more too.

My list of favourites is quite long and is totally mood-dependent.
I can watch some films anytime though; Conan the Barbarian (original), Aliens, Ghostbusters, Big Trouble in Little China, Star Wars IV, Blade Runner

I couldn't pick any as all time favourites as there are far too many.

My most recent one though is Troll Hunter.
