in march i started a thread about the quest for a new knife. it was supposed to be brought from europe as payment for some work i was doing for a guy, BUT sadly he didn't keep his word.... :-(
in october i posted an update regarding this matter with the sole intention of letting the folks contributing to the thread know that the quest was postponed. first fellow member gg012 offered to help with ordering/ shipping to Costa Rica, but i had to decline due to the fact that my limited funds don't allow for new gear at the moment :-(
a few days later i found a post from Springchicken, offering to send me a knife for just the shipping costs.
as a result i left the post office about 20min ago, sitting now at a free Wi-Fi place in a park and drool over a lovely Ben Orford Woodlander....
i'm blown away by this act of generosity, especially considering i'm living far away and haven't met any of you folks!
