Went for a walk last weekend with the dog and came across a couple of grass snakes. One was about three foot and the other about 10 inches long i spent a good 20 mins watching them.I think they must have just come out of hibernation as they did not move even when i put the camera about a foot from its head, had to pick up the smallest snake and move him as ther was a lot of dogs and people about and did not fancy his chances left in the middle of a path.
Walked another 10 metres and saw a slow worm. What a day!
