I've just found out that my Great Uncle was filmed in the early 2000's about his life and growing up in the Ozarks.
He used to live off the land, was completely off grid, no indoor plumbing or electricity, water was out of a hand pump and he was crazy as a coot and my brother and I used to love visiting him every summer. He laso used to do a lot of wood carving and made his own tools as a blacksmith.
Sadly we moved here when I was still young and I never got to go back to see him but I still remember him fondly.
