Just been to our local netto and found there own brand of thermorests (inside/out) for £10 180x50x3cm be quick i got the last one at ours. I think its well worth a look for a tenner

3cm is a good thickness, I might have a look at those although my 3/4 Thermarest is still going strong 12 years later.

I might grab a couple for car camping with swmbo

Aldi have got a similar thing to the Netto ones (and i think Lidl did similar ones recently as well) from Thursday http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3_14392.htm

£12.99 isn't bad, but i suspect its going to be on the heavy side, since it is 5cm thick. They are selling some other camping stuff this Thursday as well, so might take a look.

At that price they are a bargain, and if they lacked toughness, should still be great for hammocks.
