If you have the January or July 93 issues - I am on the cover - the July issue shows me with the worst adjusted bergan ever, the Jan one floundering in deep powder in the Alps!
Both taken by me using ME Super cameras on tripods as I recall.....

Have you found the one with my Regatta "Action Trousers" review - that plus my youthful good looks earned me the nickname "Action Trousers" and a female fan even sent me a hoodie with the name on the chest :D
All so many years ago now...
Compare and contrast the photo with the one of me in the "Post a picture of yourself thread..... :)

That would be the "One Knife that Does It All" that you have long been talking about with him is it?...... :)
That would be the article to get autographed then :D

I used to get this when I was about 13! (now 35) Don't know what happened to them though.
Only article I can remember that I think John wrote was about rubber walking boots... :)

Vikings?
As I recall they were good boots - I wonder if they are still made?

Do you remember bogtrtters John? With the screw in studs? I wish they still made them......:(

Trimmi bogtrotters!
I used to use them for canoeing (not with the studs in though!) I found them a little narrow for my feet and they did not last too long as they were made from quite thin rubber ... very versatile boots though and the top strap allowed you so seal the tops - which was a real bonus!

Pah. Listen to you lot all gassbagging. Lots of waffle going on, very little buying :lmao: Probably just as well, the postage is insane now. Just on the five I sent to Red it was £4.40 or something daft.

Very good they are too - a right trip down memory lane - I forgot Pete Moore wrote for them as well

Small world of old codgers huh?
