Solar Dehydrators.

Anyone made a Solar Dehydrator IN THE UK and used it IN THE UK??

Is there enough heat available to utilise in the UK for the cooler months around the height of summer from than JUST the apex of summer?

Our neighbours built one a few years ago and it now stands at the back of their shed I believe. It was well built and engineered from what I saw but I gather it didn't do the job as well as the indoor electric version. I've emailed him asking for a photo and will post it if / when he responds.

We are in [sunny] East Suffolk and it didn't work very well here, for them.
