So what are you giving up for lent?

Well obviously I didn't give up the internet. Instead I'm giving up Chinese food. Why? Because I like it enough for it to really be a sacrifice (I typically eat Chinese 3 or more time a week)

I am giving my driving my Jeep for lent, mainly because I cant afford to replace the bits that need doing in the time frame required so will be doing it slow time with parts soon to be on their way from the good old US of A

I've decided to spend more time outdoors for lent. After all, that's what the fairy story says the grown up baby Jesus did.

A couple of years ago I gave up radio news (it happened accidentally when I had a van with no radio). It really affected my mood in a positive way to be free of the likes of James Naughty & John Humphries for the couple of hours I commute each day. I became much more interested in news which really affected me, like the health of my neighbours and the progress of Spring.
