Cheers for all your help guys and gals

Its a one off made for Ray and will not be available to buy for the general public.

Its the anniversary of my fathers death this morning and although i should feel down im quite inspired with whats to be accomplished this year.
My mothers gone abroad(cant blame her)

I have a poem that was handed to me when my father passed away that gave me great comfort.

I wont post it unless anyone would like to hear it?

Hi Still Waters, my thoughts are with both you and your Mum at this sad time. I lost a couple of uncles last year and its those things that people said and the thoughts I that they left me with that helped me get through. I for one would like to read your poem.

My sincere thanks to everyone who has tried to help or given kind words in this thread.

Tonight i set a fire in the firepit in the garden and toasted my dads life with a few drinks.
It was kind of fulfilling sat by the fire in torrential rain.

From this point on i will no longer be mourning and longing for my dad but celebrating the fact i managed to have time with a great man and its now my turn to pass his teachings on to other people and grow as he would have wanted me too.

RIP DAD

Death is nothing at all

I have only slipped away into the next room

Whatever we were to each other

That we are still

Call me by my old familiar name

Speak to me in the easy way you always used

Put no difference into your tone

Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow

Laugh as we always laughed

At the little jokes we always enjoyed together

Without the ghost of a shadow in it

Life means all that it ever meant

It is the same as it ever was

There is absolute unbroken continuity

What is death but a negligible accident?

Why should I be out of mind

Because I am out of sight?

I am waiting for you for an interval

Somewhere very near

Just around the corner

All is well.

Nothing is past; nothing is lost

One brief moment and all will be as it was before

How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

You are welcome, I lost my dad 7 years ago, my dad, my mentore, my friend, it is hard but I never forget him, when I light a fire and have a beer, he is in my thoughts and my memories flood back at him being with me doing the same. I never know,, he could be doing the same thing somewhere else...
