So , with a bit of time on my hands , I wanted to straighten out a couple of oak sticks for canes so here's what I came up with for 2.00 $ after a stop at the thrift store , a nice aluminium ice bucket for a buck and a fancy cake pan that fit perfect for a buck , the beer was extra LOL .
I lit a fire in my first attempt at a brick rocket stove , I had the wife feed the fire .
While things are heating up I scabbed together some scraps of wood for a steambox .
I notched out the top of the can so steam would enter the box .
Presto ! Steam !
Rocket flames
Flame view
I used a BBQ grate and some more bricks for some stove improvements .
I put a test stick in the box , let steam for a little less that an hour and found that it was now pliable .
I did find that I have made my steam box too small but I'll rebuid it bigger tomorrow since it's only screwed together .
I am happy at how well the stove worked and that I could show the wife another bennifit to the consumption of beer .
