Can anyone ID this for me please, I believe it is a hawthorn but not sure about the leaf shape

Thanks, there must be several species, the leaf shapes are different from those that I have seen in my book

If theres one seed inside the berry,its common hawthorn, Crataegus monogyna (meens one seed), if theres two its midland hawthorn, sps laevigata. If it looks like midland and it has red flowers its a cultivated type called "Pauls Scarlet" often line streets.
Theres a few others but these are the main ones seen. Your leaf type looks like comman as midland is less lobed.
