Rayless mayweed, pineapple weed, does indeed grow here.
It's an introduced species, late 1800's, and is considered a weed.
Plants for a future has a fairly good description of it.
I quite like it but it's a nuisance among crops. Nice tea though :) and it's a mild de worming action, and insects don't seem to like the smell. Camping on top of it seems to keep them away :cool:

It has a nice smell doesn't it if you pick a bunch of it. Grows around and perhaps in the middle of crops, fields of hay etc. Also waste ground. In fact it can be quite a pernicious little weed sometimes, trust me I've cleared enough of it out of parent's and grandparents gardens in my time. Slave labour and all that.
