Thought I'd say hi as I just joined the forum
I'm a Brit living in Hungary and turning to bushcraft to drag my 10 year old son away from the playstation and junk TV (as well as having fun myself
)
Plenty of nice woodland here but largely infested with ticks that can give you Lyme's disease as well as encephalitis
Undaunted (and liberally dosed with insect repellant) , we took a couple of hammocks and camped out overnight on an island in the Danube, cooked sos, egg and fried bread in the morning and a decent stew for lunch and he's pretty much hooked.
Looking forward to picking up ideas for future trips from you guys!
