It's a cool idea, but i wonder what the scenario might be, that he would be carrying one snowshoe? What happened to the other ? How far could he go with the one snowshoe ? :confused:

If he had only one snowshoe when he died, that might mean he lost the other one, and was unable to continue his journey; resulting in his death.

the other shoe may have just rotted away, been picked up or may be buried under the ice somwhere else on the mountain.

when they first found him they didnt know exactly what they had found and admitted to damaging the site and not being overly sciantific when removing him
