Hello :)

After the bees spent the summer working hard I spent a morning to collect some of my own honey :D It's my second summer with beekeeping, first one gave me only a taste, and this is a result I believe.

I have my wedding coming up in a week, so this is going to be a great treat for the sweet lovers.

Are you planning to breed up your own bees to fill your other hives or capture swarms?

I don't mess too much with the bees now, so if swarm comes to live to empty hives that's ideal. If not I might try caching one and there have been a few of them around. Trying to breed requires skill and attention and time and that is three things I don't have :D Maybe later on when I'll get other things finished. I like the bees and I'll try to make it into profitable hobby one day ;)

Next time you melt some wax mate, put some of the slumgum in your empty hives - it attracts swarms like crazy :)

BR. thanks for advice, next year maybe ;)

Big Stu, Albus Culter - bees are great! Very easy to keep, as they provide for themselves, but a challenge to master if you wish great results. Bees are very friendly, but you have to fence them of from fools and babies. They never attack you, unless you attack their habitat... They don't take up space and a garden is just the right place for them..

Nice one mate. Oddly enough I was watching a video on YouTube about building a top bar hive earlier today.

All the best

Have you got any bees Andy?

Nice looking honey there Milius! I really appreciate the Lithuanian countryside for camping and nature.
Indeed it's great. I wish someone would let me know when they come by, it would be great to meet someone and show them around. I have to make this official I guess :D
