Although of no real interest to most people, I thought I would share this with you as an example of how 'bushcraft' skills can influence aspects of a normal event away from the woods.
I have been visiting a member of my family who is very poorly over the past few weeks on the East coast at Lowestoft, and have found a nice pitch nearby overlooking the sea on a deserted site. Tent? no way! I made the effort to get up early (0530) and was rewarded with a lovely sunrise, which only lasted 10 minutes or so before rising behind cloud.
It was nice to temper the unpleasant with some tarp time.
