The Wildlife Garden is the only living exhibition at the Museum. Set in the Museum’s
grounds, the garden reveals a range of British lowland habitats, including woodland,
meadow and pond, and beautifully demonstrates the potential for wildlife conservation
in the inner city.

Volunteers maintain this garden and this is how to become one:

I'm sure it is bad form to reply to one's own threads, but throwing caution to the wind...

A Walk on the Wild Side
Thursday 26th July, 7pm
The Natural History Museum Wildlife Garden

Bang in the heart of London, the Museum's Wildlife Garden is a lush haven
for around 2,000 British plant and animal species and shows the potential
for wildlife conservation in the inner city.

For this month's evening event we will be throwing open the gates and
inviting you to our evening wildlife watch. Hear about medicinal plants in
your garden, learn how to build and manage your own compost heap, look for
creatures in our pond or search the garden for bats, bees and birds with
our experts. Join us for a walk on the wild side with an urban twist.

This event is free of charge but booking is essential. Call 020 7942 5555
or email naturelive@nhm.ac.uk to reserve your place.
