i had to get out today when i saw a bit of sun...:D

i know NFD,but he was some distance away [big crop] i have seen him hovering to hunt before but miles away to far to snap.

it depend on your lens, i only ever use nikon lens and converters

on a F4 lens i will use a TC 1.4
on a f2.8 lens i will use a TC1.4 or TC1.7

the lens needs light to autofocus
i had a TCx2 but i sold it and wont use one again you are pushing to far against science

i have been given another tip for kingfisher and owl locations today
but the advice to get on site for 5am sorta made me go :yikes:
