Just spent a great weekend with some friends at Comrie Croft with the tipis up and a parachute shelter using the "BCUK" poles. Spent quite a bit of time chatting to George. They have just opened a high meadow which makes a magnificent, uncrowded camping area away from the main building. Probably a bit cool in winter but perfect and relatively midgeless in summer. It's a great location to have a summer meet, because you can have the area to yourself and you don't have the problem of scaring the normal campers with all our equipment ! George is very accomodating and he says they can always help out with a BCUK group. An archerymeet might be back on the cards.
The drawback is that they have just appeared in a best campsites in Scotland book and are now booked solid every weekend until late autumn !
