Cedar knife handle

So how ridiculous would it be to use cedar for a knife handle? Anyone ever tried it?

I haven't tried it but I think it would be too soft to take the long term abuse that comes to a well used knife. Unless you want it for a display piece, it would probably look very nice?

That said, if you fancy doing it, just do it

Okay I have no idea where or how to pressure treat a two ounce piece of wood, so maybe I'll just make a raw cedar handle. At worst it could be the glowing
example of what not to do.
