The sporran looks like a deep and wide U shape when opened up, and it can fullly open up; as Graham says, it can hold an amazing amount of stuff for such a size.

Well, seeing as I make them, and have never had the need to look to buy one - I don't have a clue where you'd be able to buy one.
However, if you PM me I may be able to make one for you. Alternatively, you could always make yourself one. It's a simple design and I'd be happy to talk you through it.

I just made one of these belts. It took about an hour (minus oiling etc). This will be a good belt for wearing through the airport as it is metal free. I bet one could modernize it just a little bit and wear it everyday. Thanks for your pictures.

This is the sporran, to a similar design, That I had made by an American maker.

It's buffalo hide, which is very supple and soft feeling, but very strong.
