A couple of Strops

Made these over the weekend one for my brother and the other for me....they are made from scrap leather with locking rings to keep the strop tight and a bamboo and chord handle...they will be oiled and treated with fine paste to strop a good edge...they took about an hour to make.....The big one is my brothers and the smaller one mine.

What do you think.

They look good. It's always nice to make something that is going to be used. Interesting to see the combination of materials used: leather, bamboo and metal; animal, vegetable and mineral.

A tidy looking job there. I've been using toothpaste on cardboard for stropping these days. Might invest in a proper strop one day!
