Micro bevels are fine on a knife that's meant to have A micro bevel but the woodlore is not meant to have one with the quite steep grind.
If your mates micro bevel is that visible that you can see It's a mess then its gone further than a micro bevel more like a secondary bevel, you will need to take a lot of steel off to get that
nice and flat again.
