Enjoyed a great day up the woods today with Hugo, no Rockmonkey today though as he was working.
We didn't walk far, just up to what we call the spoon carving tree, not that we carved any spoons today either, we basically, just enjoyed a totally lazy day in the sunshine
Made some bag racks in the fallen Beech for our packs
Don't mention Pyrite to Hugo, i found two pieces of this size today
Looking down slope
Found myself a bone, which im going to try and make some bone needles from
Hugo did find a badger skull, but we left it up there, along side the other one we found up there once before, Hugo did score a nice Beech burl though
along side a HVK & Hugo's tea cup for scale
We also saw a good size herd of Fallow deer when we arrived, not as big as the herd we saw a few weeks back, and later in the day we saw a Roe deer just up slope from us, it's in this picture somewhere
We also located a great spot to go and watch badgers from one evening, all in a quality day out as per normal, roll on next week
