wanted: burl

I'm making a couple of laminated canoe paddles and really fancy using some burl in the handle. The rest of the paddle will be laminated maple and black walnut.

I've seen a beautiful piece of Thuya on evilbay, but thought I'd see if any of you guys wanted to trade me some small burl for something.

Dimensions I'm hoping for are at least 4"x1.5"x4" Ultimately I'll need two lumps this big, but can sort another out later if need be.

I've got this far with the project this morning

I don't know if it inspires anyone to consider a trade. I'd also revise the dimensions needed - each paddle needs 2 pieces which are 2"x2"x3" They could come as one piece....

I'll use walnut as suggested in the pic if need be, just thought it nice that's all
