As it was a lovely sunny & evening I took my family to the local river side Pub / restaraunt for a meal & while we were there I took a walk along the shore line and came across these gorgeous creatures!
Very coomon birds, but still beautiful!!

Agree.
Some birds are beautiful, but nobody takes much notice because they are common. Mute swans, certainly, but also mallard and the much maligned 'almost an eagle' buzzard.

Nice shots. I've been wanting to go down to Berry College in Rome Georgia. When I lived down there about 25 years ago there was a nice reflection pond that had swans on it. I used to sit there and meditate a lot.
Lots of Buzzards around here 
And navive strain Red Kites (not the Spanish Immegrant ones like around Hemel!)

I sat and watched a buzzard today at work for about 5 mins, it was on the ground chomping down on something meaty! It was eventually mobbed by a couple of crows and flew away. Great to see though..
