I recently got wet through in a surprise deluge in Krakow ( Poland) , It got me thinking about getting a travel umbrella .
I'd be after something light , small , robust that I could easily pack in a pocket or small bag that would keep me dry and could in extremis be used as a partial shelter .

As well as a simple cheap telescopic umbrella I've seen the Lifeventure ones and the Euroschirm Trekking umbrella but wondered if anyone had any other ideas ?

I think if it was going to be that heavy a downpour I would want a smock / cape, they can be had reasonable price and don't take up much space ?

Just my 2 penneth :)

EDIT: meant poncho, not smock :)

Check out Fulton umbrellas.

Excellent quality and will last you years.

I have a fulton golf brolly that is guaranteed for winds up to 72 mph....testament to the quality of them.

Cheers,
Allan
