Hi All,
I have recently been inspired by recent threads, regarding snow smocks, and how
you have been modifying them. I would like to get involved and try to mod something
along the traditional lines, decorative braiding fur edged hoods, you know the thing.
so, whatever you have, ideas, photos, tips etc, give me something to get started.....
and I,ll share the results

Dreadhead

Bushcrafter through and through
I went for the normal over the head smock, cut it down the back and restitched to make it tighter, cut it down the centre to have buttons and added a reindeer leather trim with antler buttons

Replacement buttons would be a good start. I'm still getting round to do this on mine.

I made my own out of 3mm veg tan leather :)

A friend got me a 22mm punch for the main button part and I punched the sewing holes in the middle then hot wax dipped them. Rock hard and a nice deep brown colour :)

All I have to do is finish sewing them all on :)
