I made real turkish delight once. foraged the petals stunk out house with the smell, lots of sugar and cornflour later, they looked and tasted alright when first made. Then I took them to a meet, and they formed this sticky lump of wasp bait by the time I got there.

Our wild straws have gone red early, but havent got the taste to them yet. There is plums on the trees for change. I picked up a bargan bucket of strawbs and raspberries. pembrokeshire grown, two days worths of healthy size bowlfuls and now two bottles of rumtopf started with gooey ones. My homegrown rasps are little green things at the moment. I still have jam from last year so i am not making jam again.
