Hi,

I have a question google can't seem to answer and I really need to check this.
At this time of year the scot's pine is flowering. The male flowers are turning from this:

into this:

the little round things that come off the flower are resinis, and when they mature they get more dry, flowery like, when you squeeze them. I nibbled a bit on the to see how they taste and they do taste quite ok. I even suspect that you maybe could be able to get flower or something alike out of it. But, I can't find any confirmation on google or anywhere else about this.
So basicly, my question is: is the male flower of the scot's pine edible or not?

thanks !

Goof.

edit: please ignore the last two pics. they are connected to the second.
