This is a specialist line for fly fishing streamers (lures and bait fish imitations) in tight spaces with emphasis on roll casting.

It is available in the UK only if you have it shipped over from the US as I did. It is available to import through Amazon and eBay for £95. This line is practically new, it has been taken for an afternoon's casting practice on a reservoir, but it has not been fished with.

I bought it last summer for a fishing trip to New Zealand in November. I wanted to try streamer fishing there having seen various videos on the subject. Right around the time that I was enquiring with Scientific Anglers about what line to get, Alex Waller (Trippinontrout) put up videos where he had changed to this very line. Since his earlier videos had been a big driver behind wanting to try streamers, this seemed a good sign, as did the recommendation of the chap at Scientific Anglers.

Why am I selling? Several reasons. The 185gr version of the line was a better match for my rods. This 210gr line felt over loaded on both my medium and medium fast action 6wt rods. I had believed my medium fast rod was fast enough, and it might be with someone else driving it, but not for me. As a result, it didn't go to NZ with me. I took the 185gr version, and have since acquired a couple of other sink tip lines that are better suited to my casting, my tackle and the water I fish closer to home. Also, I don't have enough spools for my reel to keep it spooled on the remote off chance I will choose to use it.

This was my first Scientific Anglers line, having used early Airflo, Ryobi, Greys, and Rio and Sunray lines and I was most impressed by its feel and quality. The following is based upon the 185gr version. The sink tip is DENSE! and casting it is "different" but on flowing water it was great for keeping unweighted and lightly weighted flies at a constant depth. On still water it worked too, it didn't have the same bottom hooking tendency that my full sink lines do, but that was again with bulky unweighted flies.

If you are interested and what to know more, drop me a PM or message in this thread.

Chris
