Pendulous Sedge Biscuits

Hello All,

Today I tired to make some pendulous sedge biscuits but they didn't quite turn out so well!! It ended up as a bit of a mush on a plate.

Managed to source them, tried my hand at winnowing but where I let myself down was the grinding!

Does anyone have/can provide a good step by step guide to making a biscuit from this plant.

If more coarsely ground, you could try simmering with some water to make a polenta or grits like mix.
Alternatively, use the unground, de husked, grain to make a rissoto type dish (sedgotto ??) less work and just as nutritious.

We have wild sedge around here, will have to try this...

I'm off to do some harvesting, did not consider the sedge as a food source and there are loads of it in my woods ripe for the picking.
