I got inspired by the picture in Mears and Fälts latest book. Not quite done in the picture, it is currently waitng for a coat of linseed oil to soak in.
It was a piece of bone dry rowan i had laying around, drilled the hole with a traditional spoon bit (a round bottom!), and then did all the rest of the work with the SBK. I made a stopper out of juniper, with a reindeer leather pull tab. I'll take a picture one it is all done and has some thread on it.
