Well My first spoon is done, smaller than a hoped but overall om happy with it.
I didnt have a clue what would to use so i used and old table leg lol.

also didnt know how to seal it up, so used veg oil is this o, or is there a better thing to use.

Quite ingenious, using a table leg to make a spoon.

Veggie oil will turn rancid over time, better is mineral oil available as a laxative at the drug store. It will not spoil and adds no funny taste to your food. Not enough in the wood to be effective as a laxative. It doesn't really seal the wood like a varnish would, but fills the pores and protects from within.

Interesting choice of wood but good work:D
I am coming to the conclusion that if a spoon is for using do not oil it. Not oiling is based on when buy a wooden spoon it won't have any finish on it and it will last years.
