I've been doing some foraging the last few days and had the idea to take a square of muslin for teas and tisanes. You can simply place your prepared leaves/berries/roots into the muslin, tie it off and place in the cup to steep in the cup of hot water. You then get a 'bits free' cuppa. It works well for things like rose hips because it's such a faff to de-seed them. You can simply chop up the hips, seeds and all and steep away with minimal faffing about. I'd imagine it'd work well for pine needle tea and other teas with small bits. After use you can simply shake out the bits and hang over a twig to dry, ready to be re-used. :)

I do this aswell :D. I used to have little bags that I'd made for the same purpose, but they were a pain to clean having to keep turning them inside out again and again .... so I went back to just a simple square.

Great tip
