Making a down jacket from a sleeping bag?

Has anyone got patterns or experience of making a down, or down style, jacket that they might share please?

I have been looking at the very cheap prices of 3 or 4 season sleeping bags in the sales, and the 'not cheap' cost of down jackets.....hmmmmmmm.......thought it was worth asking.

Do you have the down already?
I would of thought it be easier and probably cheaper to buy a down jacket then but a down sleeping bag and convert it

Don't do it!!

It goes everywhere. And I mean everywhere .... you can't control the stuff. It has a life of it's own I tell you ....

And your wife, will NOT be best pleased. Think cartoon disaster type image and you've just about got it!!

What size are you anyway? I have 2 ex-demo Golites XXL needing a new home?
