Into the Bin or make a Knife?

Some 8 weeks ago I tried to make some workshop cleening. As usual I stumbeled ower some pices of wood that had been around for several years.

I found among other things 6 pices of x-cut Masur Birch, actually looing very dull.

WHAT TO DO ?

I decided to give it a try, NO PLASTIC (stabilized), NO METAL (Brass or Pewter) NO FIBER, just Birch Bark as Spacers, and add a small pice of Sallow Burl.

Thanks to all of you,

The bade is my own, 83 x 26 x3,5 mm, Steel is UHB20C (1% C). The blade has a polished forge finish.
