Bought this jacket at what was Survival Aids in London about 25 years ago.
It's a 45%-55% Poly/cotton mix in a tight weave, well made and wind proof.
As you can see its not the nicest shade of green, and its lined in yellow.
What I'd like to know is how would it fair if I try to wax-proof it?
It's had a wash-in Nikwax once and it came out quite stiff.
Would a beeswax and hair-drier application ruin it?
I'm aware it will go alot darker, I did test on the inside hem and the colour was better than expected.
I guess I'm after turning it into a Barbour type jacket.
Any advise appreciated.
Regards,
Andrew.
