I lived there for 2 years. Rauma and Turku. I loved walking in the woods. Especially walking across the frozen lakes and sea.
I remember we once walked across the frozen sea and where it had cracked there were amazing hues of blue. We then sat on a bench on an island and drank coffee from a flask. What was most memorable was the absolute silence. It was deafening. We don't have that here in the UK. There was no wind, no birds, no cars, no planes, nothing. It made my head throb. A very interesting experience.
If your in Finland you have an amazing resource for bushcraft! Quite jealous!
