Had some holidays left, went on a 7 days canoing/fishing trip, in some amazing nature

Road trip from Sjælland Denmark to Harjedalen Sweden is about 1100km.

Reindeers, not deer. The collars, and more specifically the numbers on the collars, designate ownership of the reindeer. Most of the reindeers in that area are domesticated. Traditionally each saami family had their own recognized pattern which the cut into the skin of the reindeers ears. This practice is mostly considered obsolete, and more modern methods - such as the numbered collars - are used instead. Only about 10 percent of the saami people are still involved in reindeer herding, but the number of reindeers owned by a single person or family can amount to several hundreds.
