In Williamsburg, Virginia, not far from where the Battle of Yorktown was fought, there is a living history project called 'Colonial Williamsburg' where they recreate life in America during the British Colonial period of the 18th Century. As part of that, they have a gunsmith program started in the 1960's where they have a gunsmith shop that makes firearms, both rifles and fowlers, from scratch with methods that they used during the colonial period. This video shows them making a muzzleloading, flintlock rifle.
