Great little retreat.

Since starting a new job and college also jumping into swing, I havent been out bushcrafting in atleast 5 months.

I've never really been one to do something on the spur of the moment so the friday morning I texted Ashes1627 and we decided upon finding a nice spot and having a brew.

I'd purchased a Highlander copy of a trangia spirit burner on the previous day and decided to give it a go. It was a great way to kill and hour and get away from the hussle and bussle of life.

We drove out in my Land Rover to the top of a hill adjacent to a wood, and fired up our stoves on the tailgate.

I never realised how great it can feel to do an everyday thing, but outdoors, such as making tea.

I have a crew cab van and occasionally head off to the top of Ilkley Moor, slide the side door open, brew up on the step and sit/lounge out on the rear bench. It doesn't happen as often as I like, but can be nice and relaxing when I do do it
