Whilst rummaging round the Book Barn I found a bound copy of all 52 pamphlets in the 1945 series "Craftsmen's Library". It covers loads of stuff from carving to leatherwork and weaving and silver work and decoy making and veg dying cloth and wool. Loads and loads of interesting stuff in there and the best thing... cost me a pound!
I'm off to learn how to tie trout flies... or make a box loom... or whatever an Inkle loom is.
It also has that fantastic old book smell and loads of little notes people have made in it over the decades.
