Hi There! Well, here is a little write up and some pics of our weekend, after a load more clearing work at the new permission, we decided to see just how the combination of woodland camping and the more standard campsite camping would work. so the Websters came down and erected their marquee in the field, for the girls, my eldest son (Dave53) only joking Dave! came down and the boys set up in the adjacent woods.
Nothing too bushy to report as regards activities, but it was a great weekend, we found ourselves in the woods as a group most of the time, apart from sleeping, when the girls slept in the bell tent, apart from my other half who stayed in the woods,my boys have become a lot more independent and now set up on their own, in a gelert solo and a lovely little solo tent (which Dave very kindly gave to the youngest)
We decided to have a day out on the river, at a pretty little spot i know, where Paul did us proud with the catering, the kids swam and caught minnows and bullheads, the girls sunbathed and chatted, we did have an issue, where i thought my eldest had pooed his pants (see pic 46) but it turned out it was only mud!
Anyway, as far as our little gathering was concerned the whole weekend, was a complete sucess, the addition of a proper toilet was great, the catering was top notch, we even all went back to our house and had a massive roast dinner, then back to the woods, so i am sure some of the purists wil tut and frown, but it was an experiment that i am sure will work for some bushy families.
Thank you very much, for taking part in this little exercise.
Thanks for looking, and as ever i think pics are self explanatory and any comments, questions or ideas for the future very welcome.
Ivan... (the glamper!)
