I can imagine that people might not approve of floodlit woodland as
it is gilding the lily somewhat, but ever since I saw well lit trees at
the Open Air theatre in Regent's Park as a small-ish child I've been
a fan.
Syon Park is hosting an 'enchanted woodland' over the next few
days from 5pm until 8.30 (until 3rd December), for £4 or £1 for
children, where a thousand lights will be illuminating the trees
