Egyptian Cotton Material Anyone?

Hello there,

Right so I've got my singer going now and I've totally got the bug aha

So I've been making pouches and things out of canvas which is great but I have a Tentsmiths Oilskin tarp (the one Dave Cantebury goes on about) I absolutely love it! and I love the material even more! I'd love to be able to create some items with this material and its awesome.

So it's Egyptian Cotton (what ever that means) and I can't find a supplier anywhere, ebay just comes up with Egypitian figurines and bed sheets! If not, something similar? It's not like cotton canvas although I suppose that's technically what it is but it has much tighter weave than that of the canvas I've been using.

Any help would be great!

Thanks John, with that info I've found it, but still can't find a heavy oz which is what I want.
